Stirling Minerals (SMZ) was formed to identify mineral investment opportunities and to undertake exploration and assessment of minerals projects, both within Australia and overseas, with the aim of progressing the properties to the definition of mine-able resources.

Initially the Company has formed agreements to consolidate the Quidong zinc-gold Project, located near Bombala in the Lachlan Fold Belt of south-eastern NSW. The company was listed on Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 28 May, 2007.
