Strike Energy (STX) is an oil and gas company. STX has an extensive acreage portfolio in the offshore Carnarvon basin and the onshore Cooper-Eromanga basin of South Australia and Queensland.

The company was formed as a public unlisted company named Strike Oil NL in May 1997 and in the same year participated in its first well, the Longhorn 1 well drilled in the offshore Canarvon basin. STX was listed on the Australian stock market (ASX) in August 2004. Its head office is situated in Perth.
