Tasmania Mines (TMM) is primarily involved in the mining and production of scheelite and magnetite from the Kara Mine in Tasmania. The company has supply agreements with coal mines in the Hunter Valley of NSW and Bowen basin in QLD for its magnetite production. The company listed on the Australian stock market in 1969 as Tasmniex NL (TMX). In 1985, it changed its name to Tasmania Mines NL (TMM) and adopted its present name of Tasmania Mines Limited (TMM) in 1988.
