Newcrest Mining Limited (NCM), engaged in gold and copper exploration, development, mining and sales is now the largest producer of gold in Australia and one of the top 10 gold mining companies in the world when it comes to production, reserves and capitalisation in the market. NCM was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 4th of June 1987. The average annual revenue of Newcrest Mining Limited reaches approximately $1 billion out of its issued capital of approximately $334 million.
Australia's largest gold mining company, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) have issues US$1 billion in corporate bonds in a bid to repay the company's $2.5 billion debt.
- Newcrest's bonds include $US750 million in senior unsecured notes, due 1 October 2022 with a coupon of 4.2 percent.
- There was a further issue of $US250 million of senior unsecured notes, due 15 November 2041, with a coupon of 5.75 per cent.
Australia's largest gold miner, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) has production down 25 percent due to an electrical system problem.
- Newcrest expects the plant to return to full capacity within 10 days.
- A company statement said, "Newcrest's maintenance team and the equipment manufacturer are addressing the issue and are working to have the plant ready for restart in the coming few days."
Gold miner, Newcrest Mining (NCM) has released its full year results.
- Full year underlying profit slightly higher at $1.08 billion.
- While gold prices were higher, there were production shortfalls.
- Dividends increased with annual payments to increase by 17 percent.
- Produced 2.28 million ounces of gold in the year. Guidance for 2013: 2.3 and 2.5 million ounces. 2017 production target of 3.5 million.
