Phosphate Australia (POZ) is a minerals exploration company with projects located in the Northern Territory and Queensland. Australia's largest phosphate deposits are in the shallow marine sediments of the Cambrian Georgina Basin in north-west Queensland and the Northern Territory. It is in the Georgina Basin of the Northern Territory that the Company has acquired most of its large portfolio of tenements. Investors can trade Phosphate Australia shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). POZ was listed on the Australian stock market in 1 July, 2008.
