S&P/ASX 200 (XJO) is a capitalisation index for the Australian Stock Exchange. S&P/ASX 200 Index comprises of the 200 largest stocks by market capitalisation in Australia, emphasising liquidity and investability. The weighting method is "float-adjusted market-cap weighted" and is rebalanced quarterly in March. June, September and December.
For investors, the ASX 200 index is a helpful benchmark to help with trading decisions.
