Teys (TYS) provides online gaming services through two online casinos, Music Hall Casino (MHC) and The UK Casino Club (TUCC), and an online poker room (Beach Club Poker). TYS commenced operations in 2003 and has expanded its services via the acquisition of TUCC and the rollout of an online poker room service. TYS has around 43,000 registered users and is operating at breakeven levels. TYS outsources all necessary operational services to a proven internet gaming manager, called NewEcon Limited. Investors can trade Teys shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
Operationally, TYS has established a flexible and low fixed cost operating model through outsourcing of all necessary operational services. This means TYS does not incur the significant up-front capex costs generally incurred by other market players. From a marketing perspective, TYS has sought to attract and retain customers through the use of player bonuses. Teys was listed on the Australian stock market in 17 December, 1998.
TYS' main competitors are other providers of inline Internet gambling casinos and poker rooms, as well as actual casino operators, and poker machine companies, such as Aristocrat Leisure. Their major customers are individual Internet users, who utilise the Internet for gambling purposes.
