United Overseas Australia (UOS) conducts property development and management, civil contractor and investment holdings. The majority of its properties being managed and developed are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Projects under development include Mount Kiara, Segambut Development and Setapak Commercial & Residential Development.

During 2008, the Company’s completed projects include Plaza Menjalara and PrimaSetapak Phase 5. As of December 31, 2008, United Overseas Australia Limited had a equity holding of 45% in UOA real estate investment trust (REIT).

UOS was incorporated in Western Australia in 1987 and was officially listed on the ASX in 1988. The group activities have continued to be focused within the areas of property development, both for resale and to be retained by the group to derive rental income.

UOS is a property development and management company involved in residential and commercial property development, with international exposure in property investments set in Malaysia. Most of the properties developed have been sold, with some being retained for rental income.

Major competitors would be other financial diversified trusts on the market that focus on capital property growth in commercial, industrial and retail sectors. Customers would consist of companies, that is, tenants offering to lease the property, retail and car park spaces within the buildings of the property portfolio.
