Valad Property Group (VPG) is a specialist passive property owner, properly developer and trader with operations mainly held in Australia, New Zealand and Europe and also in UK. The Group also manages property funds and provides capital services. Valad Property Group listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 13th of December, 2002. The Company operates 30 local offices across 17 countries engaged in the management of around A$18 billion of assets. The Company focuses its development through four business segments. VPG retains a portfolio of rental income producing passive properties all over Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The portfolio is comprised of long term hold investments providing a steady source of income for the Company. The Company holds majority of its passive property ownership interests in Valad Property Trust. The property development and trading segment focuses on the development and trading of assets together with developing a pipeline of products for Valad’s managed funds. The funds management segment comprises the establishment and management of listed and unlisted property funds. The Valad capital services division is engaged in the provision of property structured finance and investment banking services to external parties. It also holds investments in a portfolio diversified according to asset classes, comprising commercial, retail, industrial, residential and retirement. The Company completed the acquisition of Scarborough Group and Valad (Hurst) Limited in July 2007. The Company offers improved property returns to investors via its value-adding operations.
Valad Property Group History
Valad Property Group was founded by director Stephen Day in 1995. The Company is headquartered in Sydney. It made its debut on the Australian Stock Exchange as a stapled security in 2002. In late 2006, the Company made its initial offshore investment in New Zealand. VPG made a significant investment in Europe through Crownstone in February 2007. It completed the acquisition of Scarborough for $2B in July 2007. These acquisitions significantly facilitate the Company in expanding its global presence.
