Webfirm (WFM) is a holding company that invests in online media activity. WFM has three main operating divisions: the Search Solutions Division which encompasses Ansearch.com.au and Anzwers.com.au; the Media Solutions Division (soush.com); and the Business Solutions Division (enedia.com). Investors can trade Webfirm shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The company was listed on the ASX in December 1987 and has undergone a series of name changes. The company changed its name from Ansearch (ANH) to Webfirm Group (WFM) in May 2009. WFM acquired Anzwers.com.au, a search engine and directory website, from iiNET Limited in March 2006. On 9 July 2007, the company announced that it has formally launced its new US subsidiary.
Webfirm Limited focuses only on the most popular websites available, thereby possessing a much smaller data footprint than competing search engines and; Soush is able to offer a number of benefits to both publishers and advertisers by using a common ad-server across the network.
Online users, online publishers and advertisers are the primary customers of WFM. Ansearch.com.au competes with other online search engines, such as Google and Yahoo.
Webfirm Group Limited is involved in various internet, online and digital media activities, including website development, online marketing, search advertising, the Ansearch.com.au search engine and the Webfirm Media online media network.
