Wellcom Group (WLL) provides pre-media, digital asset management and specialty printing services to advertising agencies, retailers and corporations. Headquartered in South Melbourne, Victoria, Wellcom also has offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. Wellcom was formed in 2000 with seven employees. It became a publicly listed company in 2005. The Company’s subsidiaries include Wellcom Moving Images Pty Limited and Keene Repro Limited. WLL shares are traded on the Australian stock market.
Wellcom's services cater for a broad range of clients. By providing main stream advertising, below the line advertising (direct marketing and promotions), corporate and retailing services, Wellcom can adapt to changing market demand and economic conditions. Wellcom services over 200 clients, including blue chip companies Optus, Woolworths, David Jones, L'Oreal and Australia Post. It competes with other graphic arts and print production companies.
The company, founded by Wayne Sidwell, identified a need in the market, and developed a proprietary content management platform, with inbuilt workflow technology, known as Knowledgewell. The Sidwell family has been a leader in the graphic arts industry in Australia, and some would argue the world, for over 50 years. The Sidwells have built an enviable reputation for embracing technology, extracting its potential and deploying solutions to market that make significant and measurable difference.
Wellcom is a continuation of the dynasty. With strong relationships and a solution that is best in market, the business transformed from a relatively small private company employing 12 staff in 2000 to a global entity proudly supported by a talented team of 400 in 2009. Wellcom delivered on its promise, removed costs, automated tasks, simplified process management and streamlined workflow, with the key objective of making their customer's life easier. The flow-on effect of these efficiencies was that their customers have been able to transition quickly from traditional advertising into what we now term the multi-channel marketing arena.
Operationally, Wellcom has expanded from Melbourne to now service their clients with production facilities in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Auckland NZ and London UK. Company followed their clients into aligned markets and extended company's product offering from print to multi-channel and now include television production, digital and creative services in their solutions.
